I have always been a fan of John Cusak....

Plus the thought of 90% of the human race getting wiped out....Puts a smile on my face...

So I guess I will be going to the theater tomorrow.......

I dont care if it gets bad reviews....
I have always been a fan of the "end of the world" flicks........

I'm a fan of Post end of the world movies, for example, all three of the Mad Max movies are epic.

I don't think I'm gonna go see 2012 though, it looks a bit over the top.

Enjoy though, hope you have a good one

it will be added to my netflix queue, that is all.

i really, really want to see a serious man!
however, i have free movie passes to a particular theatre, our fave theatre, and for whatever fucking reason, it's STILL not playing there! and yes, i knpow i could see it elsewhere, but one of my passes expires this month...so i want to utilize it. don't know what we'll see, but we too will be in a movie theatre this weekend.
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

Everyone should go see this movie, and don't use passes, and don't sneak-in!

    Pay to see it!

fyi, AMC is showing all 3 mad max movies tonight, starting at 8 eastern i believe.

i'm a fan of the genre as well, and i agree that 2012 looks a little over the top, and will probably be a bit cheesy (as 'the day after tomorrow' was, imo), but i'll probably check it out.

i'm more looking forward to "the road", which comes out in a couple of weeks. i just read the book, and it's right up your alley if you're into the post-apocalyptic stuff.

    I just saw it today.

    Alright...special effects are pretty good.

    Quite long though.

    Cusack's good in it.

I agree... and I'm sure the script is absolutely shite... so it's gonna be brilliant :D I can't wait... also looking forward to that Gerard Butler one 'he's locked up but he's still killing people?' :D gotta be a classic. I love the odd brain dead piece of crap action blockbuster. Cinema is all too bland these days.
Lookin forward to The Road though.

Saw it this afternoon. It rated very highly on the cheesy scale. I like John Cusak (is that how you spell his surname), but I wish he hadn't been in this movie. There was one bit in it when someone said something like 'he can't do that it would be suicide' so of course he did, me and my hubby nearly fell off our seats laughing. Our 12 year old son really enjoyed it though, maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it today. :)

Just got back from seeing this with my nephew. It was a bit too looooooooooooooong !!!

but for the most part, I was entertained. Will it win any major awards ? no. but it did it's job.

    I'll give it a solid 2.5 out of 5 stars. ;)

Saw it last night, such a pile of a shit. So cheesey and everything was done so crappy. Sooo many flaws which made no sense. Built those ships in 3 years but it took at least 5 years to build a 70 000 stadium here!

Good concept, could have been a good movie if they didn't make it as lame and predictable as every other natural disaster movie!

Hey, Speedy and I actually agree on something for once !

Like I said earlier, the movie set out to do what it intended to do. I saw the movie I expected to see, and was entertained. I do think it could have been 20 to 30 minutes shorter.

    Not a bad opening weekend:

    $65,000,000 Domestic Box-Office
    $225,000,000 Worldwide

My firm has an indirect profit-sharing stake in the movie, so I am very pleased!

It was a pretty good movie, not a classic that will be watched 30 years from now. There is no way i hell the mains characters could have actually caught that many breaks and survived so many close calls. that was kind of silly
"All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.
  • I liked it for what it was. Amazing on the big screen for sure.

They are also now making a TV show which starts where the movie left off.
  • The special effects rocked, outside of that I didn't think the acting was that great at all.

Poor acting really brings down a good movie concept.
