And today 3 workers got retrenched at my work.
Unlucky number, unlucky day.

    Although I believe in fate, I don't believe in superstition.

    Worst thing that's happened to me is that I'm pretty sure I've been caught by a speed camera. The bastards put two really close together so I got past the first one and that was too busy looking at the traffic behind me to notice the second. Gutted. :cry:

    our power went out overnight - very heavy winds. did wake up tho to notice my alarm clock not set....so did fix it. however, then woke up again when hubby got up, thought he was running late...but it was his clock that was incorrect, which i reset my clock by....so had to wake up a bit more to reset, then try and sleep more. needless to say i was tired, decided to sleep later than usual, take a later train...which then i dilly-dallied as getting ready, basically had to run to catch my train...*just* made it...but entirely out of breath.


    that's my friday the 13th story today.
    :D


    oh, and 260 employees were let go on tuesday the 10th...so yes, i agree with the sentiment that bad things, and good things...happen on just about every day of the week, doesn't matter what date the calendar is showing.

    Missed my flight out of LA this morning. I get home at midnight now instead of 7PM.
