why does Ed only play 2/3 of Growin' Up?
I took month-long vacations in the stratosphere and you know it's really hard to hold your breath.
I swear I lost everything I ever loved or feared, I was the cosmic kid in full costume dress
Well, my feet they finally took root in the earth but I got me a nice little place in the stars
And I swear I found the key to the universe in the engine of an old parked car
I hid in the mother breast of the crowd but when they said "Pull down" I pulled up
Ooh-ooh growin' up. Ooh-ooh growin' up
has he ever played this verse?

I love this song, and I've heard many versions of Ed's and he never plays this verse. For good reason, I think - it's unneccessary. The song - if acoustic- is better concise
David Bowie recorded an amazing full-band version of this song. It's on the Diamond Dogs bonus disc. He does play the 3rd verse following a guitar solo.
Much better than Springsteen or Vedder's in my opinion. PM me your email address if you want to hear it

I read that Bowie has done a few Bruce songs. I just started to get into Bowie hardcore and he is amazing!! I have been working my way through his catalog chronologically, I started with Hunky Dory and I am up to "Heroes". I didn't like Young Americans but Aladdin Sane, Diamond Dogs and Station to Station are some of the best albums ever made!!!
