Cover the song 3. "You stay here" by Richard Shindell, I think Ed would do an AMAZING version of this if let loose at it. If you listen to the cover version of this song done by Willy Porter and then imagine Ed singing it with the energy he puts into Masters of War Oh my God ! http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=33:fcfuxn8kld0e~T001
It would leave you breathless and with goose bumps the way you most likely did with Love Reign the first time you heard him sing that !!
Oh yeah and just for fun I would love to see "Bugs" live !
"I won't change direction and I won't change my mind, how much difference does it make?"
I've been lucky enough to see Footsteps and U at least twice as well as Hard To Imagine, Sad, All or None, Love Reign O'er Me, Black Diamond, Rats, Undone, Smile, Don't Gimme No Lip, I'm Open, Education (twice!), Crown of Thorns, Man of the Hour, Low Light (twice), Down, I am a Patriot, Sonic Reducer (twice), and Parting Ways.....And I've only seen a handful of shows. I think I have been lucky enough and will be happy with any setlist....but if I had to pick one song I'd like to hear them play that I'm afraid I won't see in West Palm Beach, it would be "Wash".
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.
I've gotten really lucky at shows that I've been to in the past...
I was there for the very first time Sad was played...
I've Got A Feeling in Boston in i dunno how long...
Leash in Boston 1st time live in 06...
Albany for 1st Rats and Satan's Bed of the tour... after not being played for a long ass time.
Low light being played for the 1st time in 03
The whole mansfield pre-set... (driftin' and all those yesterdays especially)
I'm open 2x (hartford and chicago)
So many great memories! There's more but I can't quite remember them all...
That being said... I want to see Oceans played so bad it's not even funny and I'm afraid I will never get it
My list of unheards is:
Oceans
WMA (full)
Who You Are
Around The Bend
No Way
Pilate
Push Me, Pull Me
Help, Help
Bushleaguer
Big Wave
Then there are things off of lost dogs like Wash, Fatal, Undone, Dirty Frank, Education, Dead Man & Black Red Yellow that I really want to hear...
As far as covers go, I've never gotten Fuckin' Up live and I'd really love to see Love Reign O'er Me some point this tour.
I can't complain though, I love everything they toss at us and I'm always surprised when they play something I've never heard live... Actually my 19th (last show I was at) was surprising b/c I saw 3 songs I had never seen live before and that's rare for me, finally got Hard To Imagine after all those shows... it was the highlight of the tour for me.
I will hold the candle until it burns up my arm. I'll keep taking punches until their will grows tired. I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind. I won't change direction and I won't change my mind.
I've been lucky and caught some shows with other rarely played ones - Ottawa 05 - Don't Gimme No Lip, Wash, Albany 06 Rats, and Satan's Bed, Leash in Hartford and Camden, the funny version of Satan's Bed at State College, Education at Lolla, Deep at MSG II 03, Sad in Reading on the VFC, and more. So I've been quite lucky and can't complain.

Wash was the first song I ever heard PJ play live, Purdue University. I had to put it on my Lic plate, it is just such a great song still today!
I have been lucky enough to catch a lot of the same rare plays as you have, I have to admit Education twice has been one of my highlights.
Other side is the one I am waiting for now? We'll see.

I never realized how fortunate I am to have seen "Breath" and "Sleight of Hand."
Sleight of Hand seems to be on nearly every Pearl Jam fan's wish list. I feel like I'm the only PJ fan who doesn't like Sleight of Hand, yet I've seen it live before. I kind of feel guilty about that.
No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.
i've been a fan since i saw the Alive video in 91 or 92 but have only seen them live twice (Philly 00 night 1 and Philly 05). SO, what songs do you fear you'll never get to see live?
here's mine:
Footsteps
RVM
All or None
Sleight of Hand
Rival
All Those Yesterdays
I Got Shit
State of Love And Trust
Footsteps and Smile are the only 2 biggies I haven't heard live yet - hopefully in Camden june 19th.
