Baby deer escapes Lions at the National Zoo in DC

Crazy footage from this afternoon at the zoo in DC. A wild deer jumped into the lion area.

    What a lucky deer! :shock: :D

    I have to laugh at the commentary though. I think some of those people should spend some more time watching lion documentaries on Animal Planet or something in regards to lion hunting behaviour. Not too mention all the children who might have been emotionally scarred by watching a couple of lionesses chow down on Bambi as their parents blithely watch on :o :shock: :lol::lol::lol:

    This is what's fucked in the world. Zoos.

    Nothing but a fucking spectacle for every fat fuck.

    I don't have a problem animals being animals but the whole idea of this and the crowd cheering was just awful.

    Like watching tv and eating popcorn for all of them. Not to mention the comments the asshat was saying "That's one wet pussy" Gee buddy, like that has been used a million times. . .

    It'a a gladiator moment... imagine if the deer turned around and ate one of the lions, and then belted out to the crowd, "are you not entertained!"

    The last time my parents were in South Africa, a worker at one of the conservation parks was killed by the lions when the pulley system that sends the meat out to them got jammed and he went into the enclosure to fix it. It was quite tragic.

    I guess the Deer got put down. It was wounded too bad by the Lions. They should have just let the Lions eat it.

    Yeah, I'm not sure what was going through his mind. The pulley system made a very distinctive noise as well, so the lions associated feeding time with the pulley sound.

    I have a great video of my dad in an enclosure with all these little lions, all under six months, and you can see even at that age the lions were considering him as potential prey. There's a great shot of one pouncing on him and grabbing his ass with his claws and mouth :shock: :D:D

    I believe some years ago a mentally ill woman was killed in that same cage area, there was no cheering on that occasion. I once got a tour underneath that cage where the tigers, and lions are kept and I happened to turn my back on one of those tigers. He/she attacked the cage the as if they were in the wild. The other amazing thing was how huge these animals are up close, they seemed a large as cattle.
