Just an FYI, if you are thinking of joining one, check things out thoroughly, I recently joined Xanadu Health Club in Tecumseh, Ontario, and after 2 months needed to transfer my membership and the policy is no. I had someone willing to take the remaining membership, they were still going to get their money, just not from me, and now this person will never join and has in fact joined another club. Just wanted people to be careful of this policy. All other gyms that I belonged to allowed for the the transfer of memberships and some never even bothered with the enforcement of the 1 year agreement for fear of bad publicity. It's my fault and will check more carefully in the future.
