What would be your other "Temple of The Dog"-like-band line up ?
mine will be from late-60s, quite easy :)

Robert Plant – Volcal / Led Zep
Jim Morrinson – Vocal / Doors
Jimmy Page – Guitar/ Led Zep
Robby Krieger – Guitar/ Doors
John Paul Jones – Bass / Led Zep
John Bonham – Drums / Led Zep

+ Ray Manzarek (Doors) when keyboards are needed :P

What would be yours ???

:)

P.S. Yeah I know, I do not have too much to do right now :P

I have to say, this is the most anticipated gig I have had in a long while... even more than the past Pearl Jam gigs in Los Angeles and San Diego. The last time I felt this way was when I was waiting for the Pearl Jam gig in 1995.

  • LOL... very funny answers...

But Temple of the Dog is formed only by 2 groups.... :P...
That's why I stayed onlye with Led Zep + Doors.... though, there could be tons of amaizing supergroups... like Dirty Mac, or Them Crooked Vultures..

So... your own "Temple of the Dog"... based on 2 groups :)

this group is like a rock n' roll/acoustic/folk...with how good these artists are, i'm sure they can pull it off well

Ed and Jack will switch off vocals and be backup for each other, John Butler will chime in too at times, i'm interested to see how this comes out

  • This thread is supposed to combine TWO bands into ONE, a la Temple of the Dog. And I'm assuming since PJ was part of the first Temple of the Dog, they cannot be a part of the second...so here goes:

    Jim James (MMJ) - vocals/guitar
    Patrick Hallahan (MMJ) - drums
Bo Koster (MMJ) - keyboards/funny hats
Nels Cline (Wilco) - lead guitar
    John Stirratt (Wilco) - bass

    Or flip the script:

    Jeff Tweedy (Wilco) - vocals/guitar
    Mikael Jorgensen (Wilco) - keyboards
    Glenn Kotche (Wilco) - drums
Carl Broemel (MMJ) - lead guitar
    Tom Blankenship (MMJ) - bass

Either way, MMJ and Wilco would be a fine Junior Varsity version of Temple of the Dog IMO.
