On channel 5 during the ticket tape parade, they asked Johnny Damon what does he listen to because he and Swisher are the rockers of the Yankees and Damon said that he listens to Pearl Jam!!!
Too many shows to list:
From my first show in Hawaii when they opened for RHCP to upcoming 2016 MSG and Wrigley. Seen them in every continent except Africa and Antarctica.

doesn't change the fact he's the worst defensive outfielder in the big leagues. including Manny.
  • he throws like a 2 year old.
  • Damon is awesome, Pearl Jam is awesome, and the Yankees are awesome!

Damon was particularly awesome in game 7 of the 2004 ALCS when he smacked two home runs.

  • I was at the parade this morning. Good time celebrating with my favorite team.

Someone hurled a roll of toilet paper, Damon caught it, unrolled it a bit, then tossed it high in the air. Best throw he made all year. 8-)

Kind of hard to say a team "sucks" when they just won the World Series for the 27th time. But I digress.

Say what you will about his fielding ability (I doubt he'll be playing the field for the Yankees next year), but he's still a good hitter who came up big in Game 4 of the Series.

He also took a bunch of players to a Creed show this year.

FUCK Johnny Damon! Sell out piece of shit! I am ashamed that he has any association with this band. He probably lied about liking PJ because he heard about them being in Philly, the same way he lied to the fans in Boston about never going to the Yankees! Go nurse your strained calf little bitch!

So how do you REALLY feel about Johnny Damon?
  • Johnny Damon is awesome, hell of a player... I'm a big Yankees fan but I liked Damon when he was on the Sox... I don't get into the rivalry too much... people take it way too seriously.. If a player is good, I feel like you have to give them recognition for being talented, regardless of what team they're on.... The hate for Damon is understandable but I think that Sox fans should be over it by now... he helped bring Boston a championship... shit happens and players go where they see fit... Damon got a better and longer offer from the Yanks so of course he came here. Yeah... his arm is weak but he's a great team mate, hits well & runs bases very well.

I dislike how be betrayed the fanbase that he was a rock star in the be like the 5th fiddle in NY, but he's always been a PJ fan. Back when he was in Boston he would always say PJ was his favorite band and he went nuts when Ed hand delivered to Theo a bunch of bootlegs for the playoff run in either 2003 or 2004.

Me too. I've met him before. On top of being a damn good player, he's a very approachable, down to earth guy. I could care less what team he plays for (though he plays for favorite team right now).

The Yankees are great because one player likes Pearl Jam? Hahahaha. Would you also think the Unibomber was great if he liked Pearl jam as well.
