Yes, it is comical. The only one's who are laughing are NYY fans, and i don't blame them. Cashman when in with a gun & blindfold and stole Stanton from the Marlins. Though, i don't think he really he needed either one as the NEW owners pissed ther pants and would've handed Stanton over to the NYY anyway.

From what they say. The Marlins are losing money. Stanton is not the only guy on their team making big money who's getting traded. Mattingly is going to have a bad team for the next 2 years of his contract.

yeah, but according to you he's manager of the year material.

I'm assuming g there would only be 5 (maybe 6) teams in on Harper next season.

    Yanks
    Red Sox
    Cubs
    Nationals
    Dodgers

The trade today has to nearly eliminate the Yankees from that list. I say it's down to the Nationals and the Cubs and Harper makes a move to Chicago. But then again, I am a Cubs fan.

Regardless, congrats on your big day today Yankees fans.

I agree. I think the yanks still could go after
machado, though that's 2 massive contracts, but they're out on another outfielder. It's down to D.C. and the Cubs.

Harper is a lot better than Stanton, but Stanton is gonna have a more reasonable contract.

Going to count as $22 mil a season against the luxury tax which is extremely reasonable. Love it

Nearly eliminate , with nearly being the key word. The NYY print money so it would not be a surprise if they got Harper too.

Both Judge and Sanchez are eligible for arbitration in 2020 and are unrestricted free agents when they're both 31.

This is the most glorious thing about it all. Insanely cheap production. $1.1 mil for judge and Sanchez combined next year.

Let's just consider the state of the Yankees right now

They were just one win away from the World Series

    Just got the NL MVP

Still have a top 2 farm system in the entire game

Have a top 2 prospect knocking on the door

they are getting under the luxury tax this season

    Crazy times my friends

Remember that CC's contract will be cheaper, Gardner's contract ends soon too so they have cap space.

Cashman has been clearing out cap room so the team wouldn't be in the penalty area if/when they sign big free agents.

Just get rid of Ellsbury and they are really on top of things.
