Sevy.  Can't argue going with your best pitcher.  I'd still go Happ but nevermind, Let's GO YANKS!

Severino for a few innings then it's use the WHOLE bullpen.

If the crowd gets loud and wakes up the bats it's lights out.  Yanks win.

This should be a good game though.  Let's see.

I absolutely hate the late start.  Why they can't have first pitch at 7:05 is beyond me.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

    It is called West Coast.
I agree with you as far as getting sleep but you cannot have prime time when a big portion of the country is still at work

    Good question.

The reason for Monday was due to the travel needs (I am guessing) but when they have them on other days, is it because they want to space out a bunch of games and make sure they can have advertising dollars associated with games that will have singular attention at that time?
Would have to see an example to try and theorize but I dont know the actual answer.  (I do know that for solo games like tonight they want to get as many eyeballs as they can.  At least it is an 8:00 instead of a 9:00 start like MNF used to be -- remember that?  MacGyver for an hour 8-9 and then MNF?  I rarely got to see the end of those games!)

I hate 8 PM games too, especially with the little one and especially with a team that takes 8.4 million pitches a game.

Why I went to bed at midnight last night...figured I would be up late tonight with the Yankees taking 30 minutes longer to finish a game than everyone else.

As a Sox fan, I’ll be watching this out of morbid curiosity. As a fan of baseball, I’d love a Yanks/Sox playoff matchup but the whole time it’s like driving by a horrific accident scene with bodies in the road, you wanna watch but you don’t wanna see. So, I’ll root for the A’s, resigning myself to playing the yanks and then being mercilessly tortured for a week. At least 2004 prevents me from going into a deep depression and stepping in front of a train. I can pop in the ALDS and ALCS DVD and find comfort. Enjoy!

I enjoy hearing "Lets go Red Sox" chant in Yankee Stadium. That said, this rivalry has been obscenely close for a couple of decades, anyway. Price will get shelacked and they'll leave CC in too long. After that, who knows. However, I do think the Yanks have better pitching, particularly in the bullpen. Sox arms are tired.

Yanks need to get past today, which is a tall task, so I don't really want to entertain all this talk just yet.

You guys obviously have the best pitcher (if healthy) and the 2 best players on either team.  Yanks have significantly more pitching depth.

didn't the yanks win a WS one year after losing their final 8?
