has that ever happened where 2 players get their first hit and homerun in their first at bat? And back to back?

Has to be the first time ever

Seeing Tampa bunt there breaking up the perfect game. Even though it was early to think PG. Make me think of 2004 and how we didn't even attempt to test Schilling's ankle. You're playing to win.

Hope Alex plays again. Cause Pujols is 3 years away if he doesn't get injured to reach 700 hrs.

Not a good omen. That's not exactly an all star team.

That moment when Andy and Derek took Mariano out of the game. And Mo started to break down.

Judge's damn baseball cards doubled in price over night because of that HR... I've been gobbling up his cards and this couldn't have happened at a worse time for me collecting, lol.

    What a shot though right?

  • Cashman is f'n genius. This reminds me of when Georgie boy finally got suspended for the asshole he was and Stick was able to build the team without his meddling. Signing/Trading for Miller and Chapman to flip them to build instead of trading his younger players was brilliant. Then went and got Warren and Clippard to make the bullpen as good as pretty much anyone elses (instead of unnecessarily other worldly). Brilliant.

This run won't last this year, but the future definitely looks very bright.

Yessir. Plus they get under the luxury tax next year or the year after and all of a sudden they could have some emerging young stars and are no longer paying an extra 50 cents on the dollar for contracts.

Funny thing is ESPN.com had some stupid count down to their first losing season in 25 years. Interestingly, it's disappeared this last week or so.

so now since they've been doing pretty good lately they are bound to lose 6/7 in a row? isn't that the trend this year?
