They're getting the hits but the runners are not scoring. I think there's a stat somewhere where they're in the top 3 with hits with risp where th runners don't score.I miss igotid880 -

That sounds like one of the most useless baseball stats ever.Sorry, I'm not laughing at you it's just funny to me how so many stats can be manipulated and no where more than in baseball...or perhaps during elections too.

Yankees pitcher's per day ERA is zero at the start of every game (unless it's the second game of a doubleheader).
This team needs to play better ball than .500 for August or it will be an uphill battle come Spetember.0 -

Last night, I had a blast at the game. Went with my dad and it was the first time we both went to the new stadium. We were both like little kids there, especially in Monument Park. That place has this aura that no other ballpark has. Seeing the plaques of all the legends that have put on the Yankee uniform made us emotional.
We missed out on the museum but will definitely look forward to it next time. We went to the team store and I bought myself a Joe D shirt and a hat.
The atmosphere in the stands for the game was awesome. An obnoxious Red Sox fan got thrown out. It was hysterical. The stadium was going nuts every time Ichiro came to bat.
Even though the Yankees lost last night, we had a blast. I can't wait to go back for another game...very soon.
Good stuff man. Glad to hear you had a great time. Always like hearing stories like this.0 -
Welp, picked a good week to go on vacation and miss. I am not terribly concerned although the games have seemed very frustrating. Brutal stretch but still in great shape. All about getting to the playoffs hot. The team is certainly flawed, but so is every team. If they get to the playoffs on a hot stretch they will be in good shape, if not, then they are in trouble, just like every other team in baseball. Weather the storm and see how you are playing in early October.0

Obviously, but a 6.5 game lead (I think that is what it is right now) is a better cushion than any other team in baseball.0 -

That's why I pick late July/early August....can't get any later than that when the games get really serious.
On a serious note, the woman told me she won't get married to me in October since the Yankees are always in the playoffs and she doesn't want it as a distraction.0 -
