I wish Smoltz would've kept his damn trap shut.

Let's throw a well-known first-ball hitter a fastball right down the middle. Damn it.

The only reason that Soriano "gets" the seventh inning is because of his contract.

Also, that home run gives Verlander another inning.

Cabrera would have this at 6-4 in your guys ballpark..

First pitch on Granderson was way outside and he calls it a strike.

It'd be nice to get some production from Teixiera this postseason.

That popped into my head as well, but i have no stats to back it up.

I will say....if it can be done, it most likely has been done in baseball

Beating porcello and fister in a row shouldn't be that difficult but I hate that the season is in aj's hands.

This game was a whole lot closer than it should have been.

On the bright side, no more Verlander.

On the not so bright side, a whole lotta AJ.

Come on what? Porcello blows and they already beat fister. Unfortunately, Burnett also blows.

I just think saying, "coming back from a 2-1 deficit shouldn't be to difficult" comes off as sounding...
I don't know. Underestimate them if ya want. I figure you'll probably just blame a loss on your own players anyway.

Tigers just won 2 in a row. Yankees have won 2 in a row many times this season, not like they are facing verlander again.

I like B.A. but I'm partial, but Smoltz and Darling are a modern day Joe Morgan's.

Exactly, plus not one person thinks AJ will pitch decently. Things tend to happen when not one person believes in a team or an individual.

No momentum...harder than 1-1 tie... I like our chances whether you like our pitchers or not.
Don't get me wrong. I'd like Verlander to come back out tomorrow...
We are still at home though. Wouldn't be the first time we didn't let it come back to NY.

I hope so. It's just that he's so inconsistent that you never know what AJ you'll get.
