    maybe not but he was among the few highlights of two painfully average teams in 2013 and 2014.

    Seeing Ichiro got me to go out to Yankee Stadium and buy a jersey for my kid. I never do that. He was a special player no matter the team.

    only time I was in Seattle, I went for the 2009 shows on the backspacer tour but also went to the Mariners-Yankee game. Game meant little to the Yankees who pretty much wrapped up everything in the American League and ended with Ichiro hitting a game-ending homer off Rivera.
