This is such a dumb argument. There are plenty of valid reasons to want to live in NYC, Phila or SD. It's not like there's a Siberia team in MLB.
Agree.  I was countering the statement that it was dumb to want to play anywhere other than NYC.

I'll try to remember to come back with another one,  next week.
I love Yankees fans....as shared, I grew up amongst them.  Totally different view on baseball.

You have to wrap it around Surviving The Game weekend trips with your old chums from boarding school.

Well that would free up some questions I have in regards to their roster and placement.

    Good luck with that contract.

congrats, I guess. I know cliffy will be happy.
No doubt maybe 5/6 yrs will be ok… but they couldn’t let him walk
it’s all funny money, anyway….millionaires working for billionaires….even if judge has some huge drop off, the yankees will survive.
Correa now for the  Giants ?
No, they have Luciano literally waiting to come up.
    😜

    I figured all along

they mentioned him to 3B if Mets got him… lot of commitment here, 13yrs is nuts

Really, you figured?  They have a potential star in the making w Luciano and can have him cheap for 5 years but rather go for Correa and spend big money?

I was out on Correa when he couldn't stay on the field.  He's been healthy the last 2 years but didn't do squat in Minny.  Hope it works out for them but I am out on him.

^ he’s been linked to Giants all along

they needed to make a splash

They made a splash with the headlines but I don't see this contract being good after 5 or 6 years.

I thought everyone learned about these long contracts w Pujols and Arod?  I guess we have short term memory.  The whole landscape on deals was to change because of those two but that is over now, lol.

If I was a GM I would not have spent that much on him for reasons stated earlier.

It seems the approach is to have long contracts with lower AAV for luxury tax purposes and that teams have no expectation that they'll be performing at the end of them, whereas with Arod/Pujols, the expectation was that they'll be good.
