    I'd suspect that nonsense about Holmes being unavailable comes from the nerds, who try to preplan things, which often doesn't work out. Just ask the Mariners about that from Game 1 when they used Robbie Ray to close it out and failed.

    Cole deserves a ton of credit for what he did in the ALDS, he was gritty in the first three innings of Game 1 when he was at 62 pitches before dominating the final innings and then was tremendous in Game 4.
