The only thing worse than horse racing is people in metal box racing.

At least with horse racing you have fewer worthless rednecks than people in metal box racing.
Them rednecks like their quick metal boxes going in circles!

I love horse racing. Not so much just on t.v but at the bookmakers or at the racecourse. There's a great atmosphere there. And you can drink beer, eat hotdogs e.t.c. And you can try and win some money. It's a good day out.

The only race I watch all year is the Melbourne Cup.
And yes it is good to have a day off.
Just wish it was held on Monday's so we could get the long weekend.
Feels weird going back to work 2 times in the one week.

Not a massive fan of horse racing, but I totally agree with Byrnzie. The atmosphere in that bookie room is engulfing.

I had $10 each way on Shocking today. Whoop Whoop.

I remember once years ago I was at home and I a friend came around my house wanting to go out, but both of us were broke. We decided to hit the bookies and so I managed to scrape together the almighty sum of 50p, and I think he had £1. So we went to the bookies and after 4 races I was up £35. We went across the street and bought some Tenants Supers (13% lagers) and then went down the pub and my friend won £10 on the Crystal Maze machine in the pub. We both ended up getting drunk. Great night out.

I love horse racing many a good time at Gulfstream- Thanks Eric Burdon for an awesome show and memory.
No betting for me just guess and enjoy the excitement.
I have never seen a horse get hurt though that might be the end of it for me.
