    I think nfanel meant that the song is - to my knowledge anyway - about being a huge fan of kareem's, meeting him, and then being disappointed in your hero when he doesn't act very gracious. i mean, i guess the lyrics themselves aren't quite about that, but i believe jeff has said that's the inspiration for the song. think it's in the lost dogs liner notes (which i don't have in front of me at the moment).

    exactly - Jeff had said he met Kareem at an MTV celebrity basketball game and he was crushed that Kareem acted so ungraciously towards a fan (Jeff himself).
