Will they release an official bootleg of this set?
  • Gov't Mule played an all Stones set for their Halloween show as well.

  • Wow! What a pick!
  • i was there and it was without a doubt one of the best musical experiences of my life!!

Phish is either my most favorite or second favorite band (depending on the day you ask me), and Exile is easily in my top 5 favorite albums of all time so for me it was a match made in heaven. they started off a bit apprehensive, you could tell b/c Rocks Off & Rip This Joint were both a bit stiff. having Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings (a FANTASTIC band that everyone should check out!!) as the horns section and the backup singers made up for it and added that necessary layer of music that Phish did not have for the album.

it wasn't really until Torn & Frayed that the band seemed to get locked into the album and really make it something special. from there, things just took off. the Loving Cup was, in my opinion, the best version they have ever played. some of the other highlights from the set: I Just Want To See His Face, Let It Loose, Sweet Black Angel, & Shine A Light. i have not been able to stop listening to this set since i got back.

the entire weekend though was just fantastic. great people, great music, great location (i really hope Phish decides to play there again sometime soon)... i dressed up as Calvin & my buddy dressed up as Hobbes for Halloween
