i believe philly 10/31 is the longest ever, including the mansfield show even if it can be considered. the show started at or very near 9p on my clock, they started the video not much after nine, even if you take the video out, they ended at 12:34 or 35 on my clock. i think state college was close to 3:20 or something, this show in philly is clearly longer start to finish at over 3.5 hours....i was paying very close attention to this as i was at both state college and when they almost DITCHED YL at the end of the philly gig i was shitty as i knew it was going to make both of those shows so close in time......then matt and ed talked and i could see matt going back to his kit and i was pysched....before that, ed was giving stone the "arm cut across his throat" sign as in, we are done....i give him credit, i don't know how he managed four shows of amazing length and setlist diversity and managed to pull it off like it was nothing.....just remembering all the lyrics is a feat in itself let alone sing them like he's been doing it for 10 shows straight.....rock on....

Yeah, I was on Mike's side and he gave Mike that same "we're done" gesture before motioning for him to get his guitar again about a minute later. By my watch they were on stage right on the dot of 9pm and off, like you said, around 12:35am.
Glaciers melting in the dead of night and the superstars sucked into the supermassive.
The more I've thought about it, I can say that was the longest. The Mansfield show was split. It's unfair to consider that one straight-through show. The minute count from both will be close overall, but Halloween was it. By that straight-through logic, State College is the second-longest show.
the bootlegs are edited unfortuneatly, for instance, the break between the sets for the philly shows was pretty long for the first encore because of the strings......the second set at philly 4 was as long as they were changing into the devo outfits so when the boot comes out, i'll bet its around 3:20, maybe a bit more.....don't know if the rocky or the movie music will be on it...i hope the rocky theme is on them, every time that cued up at the beginning, it was a huge emotional lift knowing they were coming right out after that.....you really had to be there...electric.....

so they packed more songs into just slightly more time on 10/31. just sick sick stuff.
Those undecided,........ Needn't have faith to be free
And those misguided, There was a plan for them to be
Now you got both sides Claiming killing in Gods name
But God is nowhere,..... To be found, conveniently

It only beats out Philly in number of songs played. 45 songs to 41

What goes on?
I honestly don't know how they do it
I don't either, PureandEasy. That was the greatest, most amazing thing I've ever seen.
