my party next weekend

I wish I knew more of you here so I could invite you!

Brian Vander Ark of the Verve Pipe is playing for my 50th birthday party. He's one of my favorites.

There was a scheduling boo boo and he has to play a day early. One of his die hard fans cannot make it now that the day changed.

If I get a lap top and a web cam, can I record his performance like that or is that just for a live stream like when you have an online meeting (skype) at work? Do things on web cams look grainy?

    it depends on the webcam. if you buy a crappy one, then it will look like crap. enjoy your party & happy early birthday!

    Some webcams are $90. I had no idea til I looked online today.

    I'm heading up to Michigan next week. The last night of our stay, we are going to visit our friends in Grand Rapids and they are hosting a Brian Vander Ark show.

    Really looking forward to this show. He just released a new solo disc too.

    After years of being invited, we are finally able to check out BVA and his wife Lux.

    how did you ever find this nearly 2 year old thread?
    Does Brian Vander Ark still call the home performances "lawn chairs and living room (LCLR)?"
    I have not been to one since May 2010. Have a great time! (I'll ask for the new cd
    for my upcoming birthday!)

    I'm not sure if he still calls it that.

    My friends in Grand Haven asked if there are any songs in particular I want to hear him play. They said since we are traveling the greatest distance, we get to help pick the set list.

    I have to go over all my Verve Pipe stuff to figure out what I want.

    boost his ego and ask for some of his solo stuff :) let me know if you need ideas of songs from 2005-2009 cds.
    I kind of had to stop listening to music sadly the past few years (tinnitus.)
