Saturday will be f-ing amazing, no doubt.

However, I couldn't afford tickets and last night was the only show I was able to attend. I have been so upset about missing Saturday up until yesterday, but now I am totally at peace with just my one show. It was, as the kids say these days, epic.

I have feeling you are going to eating those words.

Halloween, World Series, last show EVER at the spectrum, and all those special guest who live so close by.

Saturday was a warm up for the REAL show tonight.

By the way I am not going and Friday had the best set list of the 3 so far.

    I rate the shows:
    1. Friday
    2. Tuesday
    3. Wednesday

  • Same here. My fiancé asked if I wanted to just let her hold down the fort and pass out candy, and told me basically to go have fun at Night 4... I told her I would hate to spend the money, drive the hour, deal with the crowd, and be let down after Night 3 just totally ruled.

Mark my words - tonights show will leave you saying, "wait, they played three other shows this week?"...tonights boot will stand alone as the only one you need from this week. You'll see.

I know tonight's show will be epic and once in a lifetime, and I hope everyone attending has time of their lives, but like cdp1223, I'm absolutely at peace with myself.

Not only was this the BEST PEARL JAM SHOW I've ever seen, heard, or read about, but in my crazy opinion, it was the BEST CONCERT EVER BY ANY BAND.

That setlist had to have been handed down to Eddie from God. WOW!!!!!! I was so in shock in section 201 that I was shaking in excitement. I think I may have teared up at how amazing the show was during "Baba O'Riley."

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS SHOW WAS PERFECT. The crowd was unbelievable. The songs were NAILED. In my 11th Pearl Jam show, I finally got to see my favorite song "In My Tree." On top of that, we got "BREATH"!!!!!!! "HABIT"! "HOLD ON"!!! "SONIC FUCKING REDUCER"!!! :):):):):):):)

A HUGE THANK YOU to EVERYONE - Spectrum employees, the band, the crowd, section 201 rows 2 and 3.

I can die a happy man now. :) Even the 3-hour ride back home didn't faze me.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have flashbacks of this show for the rest of my life.

Have a great time tonight, everyone! I truly hope this show affects you the same way last night did to me.

Don't know what to tell you buddy...sometimes you just get exactly what you need and don't need any more than that. Would I go if I had the cash available? Absolutely. But I don't. And I am totally fine with that. I feel completely satisfied.

I was at both, and I am leaning towards Night 3 but they were obviously both spectacular. If you were not there and just saw the two setlists you would probably just say Night 4 because they played so much/for so long, but Night 3 had a magical feel to it.

I absolutely agree with this. My mind was blown at night 3, and I don't think I'll ever see a Pearl Jam show or ANY concert that matches it.

Exactly, just goin off set lists, really don't mean to take anything away from Sat ... but I think Sat is more about the "being there" ... the last show, confetti and balloons, never ending show and festive feel. I think Sat actually is the more "magical" of nights -- for those actually there.

But for my money, I need Friday! Quality over quantity....

Night 3 was a masterpiece of a show!!!! In my tree, tremor Christ, untitled/mfc, hold on, present tense, breath, ... this setlist was fucking insane!

night 4 was a bit of a disappointment to be honest...sorry.

    Agreed

Way to many repeats and "hits" on night 4. I'd take night 2 over night 4.

I dont know if I'd go 2 over 4, but 3 was phenomenal and even without the extra 45 minutes of night 4 can probably hold its own.

I think if there's one complaint for me (and its small all things considered), its that EV set these high expectations of playing every song and in nights 1&2 had just the two repeats. So you get to 3 and they play an amazingly diverse setlist with just a few repeats and really set the stage for night 4 just being all out nuts.

Then you get to night 4 and they repeat EVERY one of the 'biggest hits' that were scattered out really well in the first 3 nights. Right off the top they just threw away the idea of playing every song (or trying to get close to that) and it kind of took the wind out of the sails of the whole 'philly experiment.' They played so many repeats when songs that we know they know such as Brain of J, Breakerfall, Army Reserve, Mosquito, etc were tossed.

But like I said its a small complaint because if there's one thing I was sure of its that the band really, really put a lot of thought and effort into these shows and did not take it lightly at all. While i was a little bummed they didnt play Black Red Yellow after soundchecking it twice, hearing Bugs, Sweet Lew and Out of My Mind was amazing. Not to mention Smile, Satans Bed, I Got Id, Pilate, etc which are all fairly rare in their own right.

Now I have a few less songs that I haven't heard yet and hopefully the next tour I can knock a few more out!

Yeah, we all have people in our lives. Luckily 10c sells tickets in pairs. Enjoy rationalizing about missing the show the rest of your life. :D
