Things that surprise you?

My dog. She's a mid-size, border collie/husky cross and she has a really deep, loud bark!
She doesn't bark very often, so when she does, it always makes me jump :? ;):D

Rob Pattison's (Edward Cullen in Twilight) singing voice. Rough and bluesy, but very soothing at this point in my life. I didn't know he could sing. Definitely not what I was expecting :shock: :D

Why I am feeling so apathetic this Hallowe'en. This is usually my favourite time of the year. Doc thinks it's post-op depression. Could be, but very disappointing. :(

    Things that surprise me..

    People who remember my name even though I haven't spoken to them in ages. (And don't have them on Facebook or anything.)

    How happy a new pair of shoes can make me. :mrgreen:

    My cat, the way she curls up next to me when I least expect it.

    Some Pantera songs that I forgot I have on my mp3 player. Not a huge fan but my bro sent me those. :D

    The utter stupidity of people sometimes. :roll: (Yeah, I'm at work now, haha.)

    mines a Husky/Shepherd but we think she might have border collie in her too!

    Halloween is usually my faovurite time a year as well but its going to be a quiet one tonight which is kind of disappointing because I finally get the night off!

    Computers - I still marvel over the fax machine.
    The worst economic climate since the depression; I just didn't think it was possible.
    Only production focused societies benefit from war. Just figured that out recently.
    10+% unemployment rate possible/expected/here. That's a lot of people. It's still not 1929 depression numbers, but that was a more agrarian focused time, and this is a service focused time.

    One thing that surprised me today was how difficult it is to not talk to someone on MSN. :| :geek:

    Also, it's surprising how idiotic of a giggle a single picture can get out of me. :mrgreen:

    I have 2 dogs, but because I'm separated from my husband, I don't see them as much as I would like to, and it took awhile to get over the barking thing also. My JRT mix has this high pitched bark, and I would have this automatic jumping sensation even if he didn't bark... It just scared the hell out of me.. :shock: ;):mrgreen:
