It's refreshing too see these early wins, and a new system, but why is Randle handling the ball so damn much? This might sound weird, but I don't like the fact he's leading the team in assists.
Need to pay Lethal Shooter or Rob McClanaghan to fix RJ Barrett's shot. Jesus. It's fucking maddening that the Knicks' last four top 10 picks can't even break 40%.
I can see the Lou Williams comparisons in Quickley.

Yeah he pushed Harris in the back because he forgot to block him out. Then he complained about the foul.
Good game though. The Knicks are definitely much improved this year.
Might have been the best Sixers-Knicks game I've seen in years, especially the last hour of it, it was even more remarkable how this unfolded considering what the first quarter looked like.

I think they are improved too, however... the past few seasons the Knicks has done one of the following:
a. Sucked all year.
b. Went above .500 for the first 10-15 games then sucked.
c. Gave us fans a half-chub until a little past mid-season, hovering around .500, between 6th and 8th seed. Then just when fans start going "oh shit, is that the playoffs I'm smelling?" they sucked... real bad. Like just complete tumble towards the bottom bad. Lol
Trying not to be pessimistic though. Excited by what I see.

Regarding the Knicks being close to .500/contention for playoffs, here's how many of those years unfolded 2004-05 - 16-13 through January, lengthy skid, won 33 games 2006-07 -- within striking distance of .500, gave Isiah Thomas contract extension in mid-March won like three games rest of the way 2013-14 -- started 3-13, made a late run won 37 games, hired Phil Jackson, set the franchise back significantly 2015-16 -- reached 22-22 by mid-January, lengthy skid, fired Derek Fisher and won 32 games 2017-18 - 16-13 by Christmas, gradually went under .500, Porzingis got hurt and never played for them again.

Oh trust, me. I am well aware of how they went down. Thanks for allowing me to rehash those terrible seasons though. Lol I was stationed in South NJ from 2014 to 2018. I braved that 1.5 to 2-hour drive to MSG just to be at a good amount of those painful games. To include 4 buzzer beater losses.. All by the visiting team. I also rocked my Knicks gear during that 17-win season. "The Knicks will never 100% care about winning a ring, because of idiots like me." Lol Have you seen that short video about the Knicks posted by SB Nation?

In regards to Porzingis. Fuck that guy. Kinda. Not one of those guys who boo'd him on draft night, because I am all for giving rookies a chance. Enjoyed watching him, but I never thought he was NYC's savior. Then he started crying about the direction of the team and made threats, which sure.. I kinda get. But dude... you're brittle af and a huge defensive liability. You're 21 (at the time) and on load management. Get out.

I agree with you on Porzingis. You can deal with the injuries, but the attitude to me became a problem. I never wish ill will on any player, but I think we can say Julius Randle is a more steady all-around player than Porzingis.

True. I really think if they drafted Haliburton instead of Obi, we would be an even better team, or if they made a move for a point guard in free agency.
