    yup

the best scam they've pulled is that they've managed to split the population into 2 "opposite" groups so it doesn't matter who's in power - the same people benefit ...

Yep. I checked out a long time ago. I have no faith that any of those scumbag politicians will ever do anything productive.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

We have all been divided and conquered by our own foolishness. One can only hope we can rise above this two-party system and vote for someone who truly represents THE PEOPLE.

wasn't Washington against having political parties because he thought it created too much division?
    don't compete; coexist

what are you but my reflection? who am i to judge or strike you down?

I believe so. All we've done is create a "McDonald's vs. Pizza Hut" situation. Screw that. I'm going to think outside the box. I want steak. I refuse to give in to this shit anymore. I'm so sick of this constant barrage of "leftwing loony", "repuke", etc. childish insult trading too. If we can't start working together, compromising along the way as needed, we're fucked.

The thing is, society in America runs on competition. We all have to compete against somethingdon't we? Classmates, colleagues, sports, of course politics...everything, if you really think about it, is about competition. BUSINESS wouldn't be business as we know it, if it weren't for competition. So the day that we can all get past the idea that we have compete to live, is the day that unity will happen. The problem is, politicians are more about competition and not at all it seems, about actually representing the people. Take money and "who you know" out of the equation and we've got to wonder how some of them got in the position they're in at all.

which people? America is so diverse. There is no one who could possibly represent all of the people. Not even MOST of the people.

We have to settle for the majority. You just can't please all the people, all the time. I know that. But that also goes right back to what I said about compromise.

The biggest fraud is the idea that somehow the 2 camps are different. that those with D's next to their name, are different from those with R's next to their names.

Throughout history, the basic platform and ideology has never been questioned or challenged. The idea that america has a right to imperialism, and globalization, and expansion, and that all the resources of the earth are to be unearthed and used until that resource is completely gone and extinct. This is a way of thinking that every single president has shared since the birth of the nation.

Thats why I think politics is a complete lie. Its a joke. It seems pointless to vote these idiots in year after year, hoping, praying, maybe, please maybe, they might change things.

The definition of insanity is to continue doing something again and again, even when you know the outcome will be no different. Voting in politicians, when we know, that last election, last year, last decade, the last president didnt do squat to help us.

It is clear to me that every politician is the same. That universally the rule is that you essentially have to sell your soul to be a politician.

For me, Bush is and was evil. But I never understood those people who thought if only we could get a dem in office things would be better. Obama's actions have proven me 100 percent right. Obama is as clueless as Bush ever was. We are in the middle of 2 wars, that just like Bush, Obama thinks are winnable. And we are in a Depression economy. Obama has done precious little to combat global warming.

It's not just about taxes...it's people that are tired of the corruption.....I would be glad to pay any taxes if I knew it was going to help the needy or our country, But I do not want to pay taxes to to bail out a bussiness that has fail. I do not want to have my taxes raised when congress has an automatic pay raise annully. Yet let this country go down the drain because they have other agendas favoring themselves and their friends.

i am willing to bet that you never cared about politics until obama got elected. that is why people like me ask "where were you when bush was in office". if you really cared back then you would have been outraged then. but if you did care and said nothing about it then you are a hypocrite.

everyone in the tea movement is not sick of lies and corruption, they are angry because the american majority has abandoned their ideals. end of discussion, again....

What did you do about the corruption then?....and what are you doing now?

i wrote my congressmen, attended antiwar protests, wrote a letter to the white house, gave money to organizations that i believed in, donated money to various candidates. i basically stayed informed. what did you do? probably nothing but sat around and complained about it like you are doing right now. how you can say that this administration is as corrupt or more corrupt than the prior one is shocking.
