I'm guessing Baba O'Riley with a "special guest"

  • Final Countdown
  • Ledbetter. I know they already played it, but they'll bring it out again. Pearl Jam will think they're done with Baba or some other cover, but the crowd won't shut up. So, Mr. McCready will bid the Spectrum a fond farewell. During his national anthem outro, crazy Philadelphians will start tearing up the Spectrum so they can have a small souvenir (or metal).

I hope not Ledbetter, I think/hope it will be something different...with special guest. I do love RITFW though ... Tambourines flying, energy, lights..its just awesome and leaves me in a high walking out and wishing for more.
  • Gotta be YL -- theres not other song that is never not played last. YL is the final word.

Last two songs will be Leavin' Here then YL.
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

That would be hilarious. I am guessing it is a song that will be a secret to the performer and their guests. After everyone is long gone from there. Sort of like a dark secret for them to carry to their deathbed.

  • LAST EXIT would be fitting...and it hasn't been played yet in philly.

  • dont know if it will be last but you can guarantee SMILE will be one of the last few

    I MISS YOU ALREADYYYYYYYY

  • Probably something completely off the wall and nothing on this thread will be right. I do think there will be guest stars, though. Young Neil isn't touring, the Bruce rumours could be spot on... Could be a ton of talent on the stage at the end.

BTW.. Hi. First post. Saw the Dead close their last show in Spectrum with Samson and Delilah in May and super pumped for Saturday.
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

i'm gonna go with 'Leaving Here'. seems fitting...

    a beacon on dry land
    eyes above the horizon
in the dark before the dawn..."

Exactly what I thought! Although I like Clockistotime's suggestion of Leaving Here.
If there were no Angels would there be no sin?
  • Last Exit would be awesome, but I just don't see them ending it with that. The only way I see that happening is if they have reworked it to have some sort of extended ending. Though that abrupt ending would be unique, I don't see any way the guys could get out of the arena on that note. That's why I feel like Yellow Ledbetter might be the final song. Might not be put that way in the setlist, but they just might throw it in there at the end.
