My 2 cents on 10/28 Philly show

Big thanks to PJ, great set and a great night.

My 11 year old was in complete awe especially watching Mike's solo during Even Flow (thank you Guitar Hero)

To the 4 hot chicks that watched the second encore from in front of my son, you are possibly immortalized in his memory - whether that is good or bad - I don't know - I do know that it added to the whole experience for him.

We snuck down to 212 what looked like 8th or 9th row - great sight lines.

All in all perfect for show for my kid.

As for me, last night made it clear that there is no higher energy arena than MSG. Take that set and the night before and play it at MSG and you hit a magnitude 8 on stage rocking. The philly crowd was either too worried about the game or just too drunk to get into the whole thing.

So - great set - Philly crowd2/09 < Chicago1&2/09 < MSG2/08 (Last 4 shows I was at)

I have higher hopes for the set list and crowd on Halloween. Still got hopes up for Wash/Footsteps/Release/Oceans since they haven't been played.

Thumbs up with Garden - 2nd in less than two years. And Speed of Sound was awesome. Really like the new stuff live.

they need to comeback to play comeback since ed fuck it up
  • Energy near me in section 205 ( non ten club) was awful. Nobody seemed to be into the show except me and my buddy (shows the importance of being in a ten club section). I was also very disappointed with the audio clarity from my section ( Stone and Mikes guitar melodies seemed lost in a muddy mix... must have just been my seat because Eds voice sounded as good as ever.)

Here's to hoping for a more attentive and engaged section at the next two shows...
