About those posters

In response to a number of questions, yes I did a series of four posters for the Philly shows this week which will form one large scene when placed next to each other (though with gaps left in the images between each poster so they don’t have to be jammed right up against each other to look right, if that makes sense).

Since these were for a series of shows the week of Halloween, my idea was to have a giant retro pop-culture costume-party theme — superheroes, robots, space people, monsters, etc., along with a number of band-related/requested “cameos” in the background, all (at least in my mind’s eye) comprising the audience to the last shows at the Spectrum.

The trick was to design four posters which would each stand alone, would work as a larger image when the full set was displayed together, and would work when displayed in sets of two or three. I knew that some people would be attending all four shows and I wanted to create something special for them, but I didn’t want anyone who could only attend one or two shows feeling that they “had” to get the entire set.

As for questions about a signed and numbered edition of the set — definitely not until after the New Year. I’m still recuperating from the Chicago poster sale.

Also: apparently the images are also being used on shirts. Last night was the first I’d heard about that. I guess you can form a larger image with those as well, if you get three other friends together and each wear a different night’s shirt …

I hope leadbedr10 wins lottery saturday I have his extra 10c ticket known him since 1994 gave him his first bootleg cassette tape of Pearl Jam he has been hooked ever since, I didn't get any tix thought I wouldn't be able to make the shows. I got a nice seat for friday from comcast 224 row 14

No idea but I dont expect anything crazy tonight either, the next 2 shows though should be fantastic IMO...course ANY PJ concert is a good one..

That's a sweet seat. I was flyin' solo in 211 row 12 last night and it was PERFECT unobstructed view for a short person (like me).

That's cool about your buddy you turned on to PJ. I hope the lottery rewards him as well.

Thinking about a comment that someone said last night....im kinda wishing i didnt know what was soundchecked before the show...I remember lining up during soundcheck in dublin 06 and hearing "education".....obviously they played it that night and it did take away the "wow" element....just my humble opinion of course!!!!

Didn't see him for a long time then I went to smoke in Hawaii06 after the kings and there he was it was CRAZY

I finally got the LA 4 boot in the mail today and am listening it to for the first time. It makes not being in Philly tonight a little more bearable.

i said this yesterday. TOTALLY AGREE. its fine for tonight when im not at the show, but im going to be sure to avoid checking what the soundcheck was on friday and saturday.

Just started disc 2...sounds great! This was my favorite show out of the 4 I went to. Band was on fire! Now I know I'll end up getting the Philly shows as well so I hope those are mixed just as good
