  • Pearl Jam has outlasted many of its contemporaries from the alternative rock breakthrough of the early 1990s, and is considered one of the most influential bands of the decade, and "the most popular American rock band of the 1990s".....

GO TO THE DIFFERENT ALBUMS AND CLICK EACH SONG!!!!!!!!

i'm learning a lot of cool info. almost every song has direct quotes from band members about it. so far i have learned that:

garden is stone's favorite tune off of ten

most of glorified g's lyrics were dialogue between dave and the band. he was telling about how he bought a gun. ed freaked, and then dave said "in fact i got two, but that ok man i love God ..." so on. ed was pissed wrote shit all down. hmm

lyrics to grievence and insignificance were written 4 days before the finilizations for binaural were due.

reading alot more too ..good stuff

    yieldish? i think.

so much great info about the early seattle scene with subpop and stuff. lots of great great stuff. must read.

    one of my favs:

brendan o'brien was pushing dave so hard on the drums during the weeks of recording Vs., that he recorded RVM, and at the very end, you can hear him throw the drumsticks at the wall, he then took the snare drum out of the studio and kicked it off a cliff. :D cool
