G'day mates!

Unfortunately, the Canadians won't be making it down south this time around. However, we are setting up our good friend and veteran touring vanner, Aussie Ben, with a van to keep the spirit alive in Oz. To help with this, Wicked Camper Vans is providing him with a custom painted PJ van for the Aussie tour beginning in Perth and ending in Brisbane.

Here is our wicked van adventure from 06:
http://www.wickedcampers.com.au/wicked- ... -1827.html

So Ben will be vanning the whole tour and he is looking for some good people to join in and help share costs. If you need a ride for some or all of the connections, send me an email and I'll put you in touch with him to get more information. It's gonna be a ripper of a time!

jason@touringvan.com

I'll see the rest of you in PHILLY!

So the van is being serviced today and painted tomorrow in Perth. Wait til you guys see it. If I had the time off, I'd book a flight down to Oz right now just for the van alone.

There's still van space available after Adelaide, so look for Ben and let him know you want in. Who cares if you have flights booked already. Make this Aussie tour into a fun memorable adventure. Who wants to fly to shows, really?

Enjoy the great ocean road ben
  • I saw your van parked outside ME Bank Stadium after the show!! 8-)
    Very cool!!
  • Sorry Jason, I've already seen the great ocean road, so I'm taking the quicker inland route since I'm on my own now too. But I'm trying to keep other traditions alive. Though there are no northerners in the van, or goon. I have been ticking off cities, driving all night and got an $82 fine for parking at the main gate of Adelaide oval. But it's all worth it. And slightly less boring than flying :)

On your own? What happened to Tommy boy? Maybe it's for the better cause it sounds like the vibe that was created last time has all gone to the shits. Sorry we couldn't be there this time to bring the morale up a bit. Hopefully Melbs will inject some life into this tour. Keep on vanning!
  • I let Tom bail after I kind of broke the gear box a little. Though he and Bruno did join me to Brisbane and did most of the driving for me.

It wasn't the same without the original spirit or enthusiasm but it was still good. Glad I did it. Could have been better, could have been cheaper and I'm glad it's over but I'll definitely do it again.
