    In Hiding is one of my favorites, which is where I got my screenname from. I don't think they'd open with it though.

    If you want RELEASE (which IMO is their best song) you better hope for it as the opener........I don't think it has been played except for as an opener.....

    BTW..they opened with RELEASE in D.C. last time......

    exactly, I was shocked when they opened with release in 06. I would love to hear it again, but I think it will be at MSG. Hears hoping we get Oceans as an opener.

    how sweet would be release be as a closer? i mean it's been a closer for 17 years now. (listening to ten) i really thing this would be the perfect closer . everyone knows this song!

    plus in hiding would be the perfect opener. the vast majority of the fans would know the big words. (i'm in hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiding)

    who you are/parting ways: either one of these songs would be awesome hence the three requests for this show. i haven't heard who you are since my first show on 9/29/96 and have never heard parting ways full band.

    it has been played in other parts of the setlist, just not for about 10 years...or more.

    i'd say you are gonna get zero of your requests, but the most likely would be in hiding as the opener. i'd put it at like 1.2% chance of happenning

    Everyone loves slower, more melodic songs as openers...this seems to be Ed's preference for sure and the opinion of most of this board at least. Now, I can't say I entirely disagree....but...when you have an entire venue completely excited and amped to see you...why not kick it off with a bang?. How about Why Go as an opener....the band comes on stage...everyone goes crazy...mini-Matt solo on the opening drum line to stoke the flames a bit more...wait for it...wait for it...then with a crash of the cymbals comes the opening riff. How fucking sweet is that??!?!? Other songs I would open with if I was Ed (which, I am of course not): SOLAT, Last Exit, Hail Hail, Corduroy, Severed Hand, DTE, etc.

    Its funny how things work because I have seen Parting Ways twice with the full band & have never heard who you are (my favorite song). I have also had oceans as an opener.

    D.C. Will be my 32nd show. So far I am 30-0. It's time they opened with Oceans when I am there.

    i saw oceans played once in jersey in 1998. i just hope they switch up their set lists a lot more this tour. they have the material. and please no yellow ledbetter closing the shows!
