The "Freud walking the sideline" lyric is about Bulls ex-coach current Lakers coach Phil Jackson

Rodman's hair = Black, Red, Yellow... I think he also had a PJ logo dyed onto his head, too.

pretty sure its about rodmans changing hair color and/or the bulls.

"sigmund freud played by Phil Jackson" - lost dogs liners.

Rodmans answering machine message to Ed also appears in the song, but im sure everyone knows that:

"Yo bro. Tell us what's happenin'. Um, I'm on the west, west side of, on the west coast.
Give me a jingle, uh, when you get in from where the fuck you're at."

the song also contains this strange word: veintitres
    Van '98, Sea I+II '00, Sea '01, Sea II '02, Van '03, Gorge, Van, Cal, Edm '05, Bos I+II, Phi I+II, DC, SF II+III, Port, Gorge I+II '06, DC, NY I+II '08, Sea I+II, Van, Ridge , LA III+IV' 09, Indy '10, Cal, Van '11, Lond, Van, Sea '13, Memphis '14, RRHOF '17, Sea I+II '18

I think this lyric is written as "painted trees" on pearljam.com. Veintetres is latin for twenty-three, so it could be a possible reference to Michael Jordan's jersey number.

I've never heard this before, but I took the three colors as the primary colors for the teams he played for: Detroit=black, Chicago=Red, and Los Angeles=yellow. Could be the wild hair colors, but he's been more colorful than BRY.

Well, at the time the song was written he had only played for the Pistons, Spurs, and Bulls.

Black & Red referred to the colors of the Chicago Bulls uniform and the Yellow referred to Rodman's hair :)
