Where NOT to park

edited October 2009 in Given To Fly (live)
This just came up in another thread so i thought i'd start a new one for it... With so many people coming from out of town i thought i would mention that there are several lots near the wachovia center that do not permit tailgating. I dont want anyone to make the mistake of parking here and being stuck without a refund.

The link has a map of all the parking lots as well as a note on tailgating.

TAILGATING: Tailgating is not permitted in lots West of Darien Street and north of Pattison Avenue. Tailgaiting is permitted in the following lots: A-H, J,K,L,M & N.

  • The spectrum let's commuters park as early as 7am but I don't think they will let tailgaters in until 10 or 11.

Interesting how the Wachovia website is considering Saturday a "Low Alert" parking day:

    http://www.wachoviacenter.com/parking.aspx

there are links at the bottom of that page for parking maps too

They are expecting you to just show up, park and go in the venue. They're not taking into account 4+ hours of tailgating.

True. It also seems like they are only taking into account the activities at the Wachovia Center and the Spectrum and not the baseball game.
