Should I Switch Hotels??

This subway strike is giving me heartburn. I have a room at the Residence Inn in downtown. I was planning on bar hopping in the afternoon then catching the subway to hit the preparty on Wednesday. Should I stick with the plan and just catch a cab or walk the 4 miles to the show or should I try and get a hotel room at the airport and drive over to the venue. Has anyone else considered alternatives to getting down there from downtown? I have an extra ticket to barter for a ride to and from the show if anyone is interested.

    I really doubt they will allow this strike to happen. I feel like they threaten to strike all the time and only once or twice have they gone through with it. With that said, i think a cab is your best option and will be far less than a rental and boring stay at the airport.

    **edit** the strike wouldnt be until saturday anyway, your fine dude.

    Check the articles... The union is giving Septa officials until saturday to reach a deal or they strike.

    Whew! Glad you asked about this, Big C. We're staying in old town (Penn's View Hotel) and are depending on subway. The cab ride from old town to the stadiums is $27 each way. Ridiculous. Bring on the STRIKE! (As long as it's Saturday - LOL!!) Enjoy your show!

    T-Minus 42 hours until my plane touches down in Philadelphia. WOO HOO!!! :D
