Rear Stage Seating @ the Spectrum

So Im only able to hit Philly III this week, and this was decided the day I came back from Austin City Limits so obviously no 10C tkts for me, I was able to find tkts at face value through a fellow board member, and they are on section 220 right behind Matt.

I have never been to the Spectrum before and just wanted to get your opinion on how good or bad those seats are, I already have the tkts and Im happy to be in the building but was just curious, hoped that some of who have seen a show at the Spectrum with rear stage seating could shed some light :D

Needless to say Im about to explode in excitement waiting for Friday!

    I can't speak from experience but in my opinion I think you're going to love it! You get to watch matt the entire show and see how hard he works and notice all the little things he does that makes him so amazing. You also get to see the interaction between all the band member, the behind the scenes stuff, and you get to see the crowd from the bands point of view....it's going to be awesome (in my opinion)

    My first concert of 2009 was DMB @ MSG with the same view you described. It was a really cool way to enjoy a concert!! And you just came from ACL!?!?!?! Your mind will still be blown.

    Nfanel and I were rear stage for Bruce's 2nd show and the view was fine. It's kinda cool to see the whole crowd from the view the band has.

    Yes my mind is definitely still blown from ACL, it was the best weekend ever, it wasn’t just the show that was spectacular, but waiting 8 hours in the mud by the rail with the best friends ever was what made it all so unbelievable, the ACL weekend was just something I will never forget. :D

    Im really excited for Philly, I have never sat rear stage before and Im actually not disappointed that I am this time around, I was also looking at it that way, as someone else mentioned, it will be a totally different experience and Im right behind Matt so it’ll be interesting to see him work his Magic.. :mrgreen:

    i think the seats will be cool! a different point of view :)

    also, ed will walk around there quite a bit.

    i sat to the side/back of mike at msg last year and it was so much fun.

    you don;t get the full on view of the band, but it'll be great nonetheless! :)

    (i got a ticket on the wachovia website yesterday... to the side of stone, 20 rows up.
    so far, i'm by myself but i bet there will be fan club friends in that area...)

    someone please fill me in on how section 218 is! is that kinda behind the stage or is it still nice and on the side?

    agreed...i think it'd be an awesome perspective for a pj show...you'll get to see what us lunatics look like in unison. :) plus all of those seats are really close...they don't go back too far.

    well actually i dont care, these were tkts I bought from another board member, I had no problems buying them because as long as I was in the building I was happy :mrgreen:
    It was just plain curiosity, and to get opinions for people that had already been to a show at the Spectrum.
