  • The best place? the parking lot.

there's a World Series game at the same time as the concert on 10/31. You better believe it's going to be a tailgating extravaganza all day.

Cool....i wasn't sure if you could tailgate at Wachovia or not. I know there's a game on Wednesday night as well, but not in Philly. Should still be crazy, though.
  • Ohh yeah. The Philly sports complex is one of the best places in the entire world to tailgate. There's the Citizens Bank Ball Park, Lincoln Financial Field, Wachovia Center, and the Spectrum. All the stadiums have their own parking and the overflow uses the adjoining stadiums parking PLUS the plot of land the old Veterans Stadium used to be on is now one massive parking lot.

it's the best. i PROMISE you will have a awesome time.

Sweet, I guess the parking lot it is. Is there a place near the venue to buy beers (grocery/package store?)

My husband and I don't know a single soul in Philadelphia. Would it be acceptable to just show up at the stadium, walk around and schmooze off of others? That is okay where we live during University of Kentucky games, but not sure how it flies on the east coast.

You will need your ticket for Pearl Jam to get into McFaddens at the ballpark if you don't have a ticket for the game on the 31st. That's what they did last week, that bar has had some issues with security.

  • I'm not sure if this is a definate but from what i understand you CANNOT tailgate in the 2 parking lots for citizens bank park, the football and wahcovia complexes are a go but not the 2 parking lots for the ballpark... stupid, i know. The link has a map of the parking lots as well as where you can and cant tailgate.
