Philly Transportation???

Can somebody do me a favor???

And ease the minds of myself, and a few people I will be with.....


Please tell me that I will have no problem getting a train from the airport to downtown....

Or the airport to the venue.....

And what train is it that I will be taking???? Train number??

I am staying at The Renassaince(or however the fuck it is spelled) by the airport.....Will I have any problems finding public transportation?????

    no problem getting a train from teh airport to downtown. you might have a problem getting a train from teh airport to the spectrucm unless you want to go downtown first.

    R1 to the City, but then you have to connect to get to S. Philly =1 hour total if your lucky. You are closer taking a cab to the spectrum from the airport.

    Speedy, I've already got everything figured out :D
    we will take the R1 into the city when we want to go into the city
    or we will take a cab to the spectrum, grab tickets and then hop a subway from there into the city
    reverse for the return trips
    the only "problem" might be trying to get back at 3am :p
    i figure tho we'll just say phuck it and do the cab thing :p

    To get from your hotel to the Stadium Complex, take a 5 min walk to City Hall Station

    take the Broad Street Line to Pattison Station.

    Should take about 15-20 mins.

    To get to the Spectrum, public transportation probably won't help you much from your hotel.

    There are no train lines to get there from the airport area without going downtown first.

    I think your hotel is right by exit 14 on 95 and the Spectrum is exit 17. So yeah, a cab would be your best bet to get to the venue.

    Or is this the train for downtown????

    He is trying to arrange some sort of hotel shuttle for us, from the hotel to the venue...

    That would be cool....

    I used the hotel shuttle guy in 03...I flipped him $10 and he drove wherever the hell Kathy and I wanted to go....

    EXTREMELY easy. Its the Septa Regional Railroad R1 train, runs all the time to Center City (downtown). And then from Center City, you'll take the Broad Street Line (Subway) to Pattison, which is literally right outside of the venue.

    just go to http://www.septa.com, and click on "Plan My Trip". Their site is great!
