Just for fun, take a listen to the intro of Supersonic and then go straight to the intro of Mankind and tell me they don't sound the same. Granted, the rhythm is different but...

    agree and agree
  • Thats like with Force of Nature and Education
    Shows:
    Seattle Key Arena 9-21-2009
    Seattle Key Arena 9-22-2009
  • Ya, they're both solid songs, but they do sound a bit similar. That's kind of odd too, because Ed once said that Stone can be frustrating to work with because he never wants to do anything that sounds similar to something they've already done. (yea, I bastardized the quote)

I always loves Mankind, and I still think the main riff is better that Supersonic ... but Supersonic has that dirty, dirty middle section that blows the former away.
    I'll ride this wave ...

This was actually just on CNN: BREAKING NEWS
  • Mankind would be better if Ed sang it. ;)

Sounds like the product of Mankind and Comatose having a love child to me
    "I dont question, our existence
I just question, our modern needs"
  • i feel like a lot of the songs on BS are similar to past work, Just Breathe/Tuolumne, Unthought Known/LBC, just to name a couple. But they are still great :P
keep on rockin' in the free world.
