Verizon Fios- TV Internet Phone

Some no-so-helpful reviews online....mostly about installation horror stories. I was only going to use their offer to bargain with Cablevision, but after getting the prices, i think i am going to swith for sure.

Anyone in the NY area make the switch recently? (i feel like i am blinded by the lure of NFL thursday games soon, but it still seems like a good choice)

    i got verizon fios when it was first offered, our area was one of the first in NY to get it. we had already had verizon for our home phone usage and had DSL before, the offer was good so we went for it. LOVE fios! love, love, love! amazing! fast! always works. we only recently went for the triple-play of phone, internet and tv.....about 1.5 years now. once we went with a 52" HD tv and all the accoutrements, seemed about time to finally embrace it. it's awesome. i know quite a few people who now use verison for all 3, all love it. 8-)

    I don't know about NY, but all my friends who have it around DC like it way more than Comcast. As soon as it is available in my area, I plan to switch.

    I'm waiting for FIOS TV to be offered in the Albany, NY area... We can get FIOS internet, but not TV yet.
