Mike's Ledbetter tags from 2000. Any reason he stopped?

I thought it was so great when he did that. You never knew what he was going to throw in there and most all of them fit really good. It seems odd that he's never really gone back to doing it.

Granted, he'll do Little Wing on occasion and the Star Spangled Banner is getting a bit tired, but does anyone else think there may have been legal or copyright issues with some bands due to the fact those bootlegs were sold in stores? I know they were only snippets and usually copyright laws don't apply, but I'm thinking Van Halen could've been a prick about it.

    Yeah, he needs to mix it up. More Van Halen! I don't think there is any copyright issue.

    Ed seriously needs to mix up the Daughter tags more too. Enough ABITW and WMA.

    I agree that the Star Spangled Banner is getting tired. So is YL I guess. I enjoyed closing Seattle (night 1?) closing w/ Alive rather than YL. It just felt fresher.

    I don't know about music terminology, but it's certainly part of Pearl Jam's terminology with "tags" being on songs like Daughter, Not for You, Better Man, etc. for years and years.

    I don't know of a proper musical term that would technically be accurate so "tag" works for me and I'm pretty sure all the guys in the band are aware of it's meaning.
