  • well, your'e right. there is no chords for this song that I can find (that's legit), but here's the tab...(that you probably already know about. haha):

    http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/p/p ... r3_tab.htm

Here's my suggestion: Instead of playing the tab, learn the chords (above the tab). for the C chord, you can either play a C or a C9, then do a Dm, and for the E5, you can do an E5 or just play a regular E chord. Then I would say configure it with the lyrics and make up your own chordal version.

sorry this doesn't help at all, but I hope you find something! :)

hey sorry to resurrect an old thread but im trying to nail this one, and most tabs are pretty correct for this song but there are a couple things wrong which i am figuring out.

at the end of the chorus part where ed sings 'if there was a reason, it was you' and also during 'one for each day, since i fell apart' , most tabs say to place Em then C, but in fact ive seen stone play it and its Em (3 times, down then up down quick), followed by a normal C chord but with the top (bass) E string also fretting the third fret. I don't know what the chords called I guess its a cross between a C and a G? Anyway the chord from high to low is X10233.

Then on the bridge its not G and A, It starts with Em, G then its another chord then A. I'm not 100% sure what that other chord is. any ideas? It sort of sounds like 33002X or 3300X2 but im not sure if thats even a chord?

Pappas i think youre right. that little bit is the C chord with the extra G
You can sort of see Stone play it in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwM4I7Ii158 at about 2.22

Then the run coming out is the E5, then the 'betterman' chord 032002 (D/F#), G then A
