so, i was chosen to play on stage with weezer during their show at the palace of auburn hills last night. there was about 20-25 of us that won a contest. it was the greatest time of my life. being on the same stage as pearl jam was just the best thing ever. BUT the band barely acknowledged us. brian came in and jammed with us for a bit, before the show, to make sure we were all playing the right chords and staying in time, but he didnt stay to sign some autographs or to even talk. the band shook our hands and gave us high fives as we were walking off the stage which was cool (no sarcasm intended, it really was cool lol)
it just made me appreciate pearl jam that much more cause they are so good to their fans that way. in london, ed came out in the parking lot and talked with a bunch of us and took requests, on the "picture in a frame" dvd, you see mike standing in the middle of a group of people signing autographs...... i guess not every band is like that.
dont get me wrong, im so happy weezer was having that contest because it was an amazing time..... probably the best time of my life. they are still one of my fav bands and rivers is still the man. i just have more appreciation for pearl jam because they go that extra step that most bands dont.

I get what you're sayin tho.
What song did you get to do? 20-25 people on stage? Not sure I get what the contest was all about.
lol i know i sound a bit ungrateful, but its the total opposite. i just wish weezer would have came down and met us before the show.
we did beverly hills and island in the sun.

weezer has this contest going on for their entire tour and it was run through 89x. all you had to do was fill a few questions out (name, phone number, what instrument you play ect) on their website. and if you are chosen, you go on stage with them and play a few songs.
