A tough act to follow at the Spectrum

This is the last paragraph from a review from Springsteen's show last night. The bar has been set!!!

Introducing the band that needed no introduction during "American Land," Bruce hollered, "You've just seen... for the last time in the Spectrum... the heart-stoppin'..." you know the rest. But there were still four more to come: by request, a very nice, and nicely apropos, take on the Drifters' "Save the Last Dance for Me," followed by "Sunny Day," "Thunder Road," and, we imagine, the last Rocky-fied "Rosalita." Three hours and 20 minutes, the longest show yet of the tour. That's how you close a venue. Bring on your wrecking ball. And Pearl Jam, you've got your work cut out for you.

That's true actually. I have a feeling Eddie's gonna mention Bruce during PJ's first Spectrum show.

Downloading last nights Philly show as I write, certainly sounds like a killer, Jackie Wilson's Higher and Higher was an inspired choice. Wonder what Pearl Jam are going to dig out of the catalogue for the Spectrum?

Last night was one of the five best concerts I have ever been to.

It's going to be tough to see PJ top or match that but I'm going to enjoy every minute of seeing them try.

How late did Bruce go? Just curious.... Would have loved to have been at one of those shows.

Cool, Thanks! So even if PJ tries to match Bruce the ballgames will probably still be going on. But I would still pack an extra six-pack or two just in case the parking lots are a mess on 10/31.

Its weird to think that a place could have a curfew on the last show ever in its history...

Yeah, it's odd ... then again Ed is a big fan too so I guess he must have bad taste in music as well. ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if Bruce showed up to the Oct. 31 show. The show falls right between a NYC and DC gig.
