can't stop listening to this album. great stuff.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

Anyone going to the show at the electric factory in philly tonight? Was thinking of going but don't really want to go by myself. I don't think it's sold out.

  • White Feather is greatness!! Its my drive to anywhere song!
  • There's a shitload of bonus tracks with this release. I had trouble tracking down a few, but found an Australian website where you can purchase three of them.

    Sundial (acoustic version)
Don't Let It Bring You Down (Uncle Neil)
    Mannish Boy

If 6 Was 9 (Hendrix) I was able to obtain somewhere else, but the last one I need is the acoustic version of Cosmic Egg. Hard to find that one. Why can't bands make it easier to buy than to download??

Okay I was not really a wolfmother fan. I did not think they were bad but the first album was not exciting to me. I got a copy of cosmic egg and i am actuallly digging it.

Still don't think they are reinventing the wheel here but for what it is it is fun.

that is the nicest thing i've ever said about wolfmother on the interwebs :D

  • I love the album. Can't wait to see them in June
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

Their first albums was really good (although not inventive at all) and they were powerful performers in 2006 (saw them twice in the Benelux). I did not really know what to expect them after a line up change but I must admit the new stuff is pretty good 8-) , I might prefer Cosmic Egg to the first one and can't look forward to seeing them support Pearl Jam again - this time in Hyde Park!!!

awesome album....as mentioned before they have elements of Led Zep, Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, etc.

I saw a lot of people bashing this band on The Porch. I couldn't understand why. They are just an awesome rock and roll band! Maybe they're not the most original band out there, but not everyone has to be super-innovative. Some bands just make good music - that's good enough for me!
