Philadelphians… are you torn?

Being from Philly and with the anticipation of the Phillies getting to another WS, I'm a little bummed about the 28th PJ show.

It seems the first game of the WS is on the 28th. Although the game will by away (American League), I have to admit that I've been tempted to sell my 28th tickets to see PJ. To be honest, if my wife wasn't so excited to see them I would [sell them]. Granted, I am gong to the 30th show, a off day for the WS, so that makes it a little easier (if I was going to sell them).

If you not from Philly and/or not a Phillies fan, it's a no-brainer I know.

But if you are a Phillies fan(and based on the fact that at Eddie's 1st show at the Tower in Philly, a Phillies chant broke out, I'd say there are a lot of you who are) and the only show your going to is the 31st, the 1st home game for the Phillies, man you guys must be torn.

One things for sure.... when the Phillies do get into the WS... you're going to see a bunch of 31st tickets become available.

I'm a Yankees fan and I'm pretty confident it will be the Yankees vs the Phillies in the WS. Anyway, I'm sure Eddie will be giving some score updates during the show. :)

Even though I'm a Yankees fanatic, I'll take PJ any day over any game.

not torn at all... game 1 is away and game 3 cannot finish the series.. I think PJ closing the Spectrum is a pretty easy choice.

    Really???

For me it is just the opposite...

Having the chance to see THE NEW YORK YANKEES play in a WORLD SERIES game....

Or go to a Pearl Jam show???

Fuck that....I would be at the ballgame...

But that is from a Chicago Cub fan, who will probably never ever fucking ever get to see a World Series...

well if I had tickets to the game it could be a different story but since I don't its a no-brainer... although I would try to sell game 3 tickets for game 4 tickets and get the best of both.

    As a baseball fan...

If I had a chance to see the New York Yankees walk out on the field, in a World Series game...I might be reduced to tears....

The Yankees, the history, the 27? world championships??? I would Freak the fuck out......

And I am freaked out now....Because there is going to be a World Series game being played in the city I will be visiting.....But I will be across the street at a rock concert???? hehehehe

    Just strange....

Shaping up to be a Yankee-Philly WS ;) . The parking lots will be buzzing with the extra excitement. Who doesn't like a little extra excitement every once in a while 8-) . Torn, I' m looking forward to being on the "away" turf ;) . Driving down with a couple of fireman from NY who are big time Yankee fans. LET'S GO YANKEE"S :D ( I hope  )

I saw the Yankees in the final season of old Yankee Stadium, nice time but honestly with my hometeam town in the series it would be more about them then the vistors. I get your point, but I guess I've never been a huge baseball fan. I enjoy the game, enjoyed playing but have always been more of a hockey fan.

Yup... me too. Even though the Phillies will be in New York for the 28th show; I'm still missing game 1 of the WS. Fu@k!

Not trying to get in the "pissing contest" but if you not "torn" then you're really not a Phillies/Yankees fan.

One things for sure... I'll be busting my ass out of there when it's over and will do everything I can to catch the end of it.

whoa... I am a Phils fan but sorry I'm not torn about a game that a) is (possibly) in NY, b) is only game 1 of the WS, and c) I have no tickets to.... nothing to be torn about other than the fact that I won't be watching it live.

Being a Mets fan, I am quite thankful that I have the shows to go to so I don't have to watch the worst possible matchup for me in the history of the game.

No offense (seriously) but that made me laugh out load.

Either way... it should be fun.

I propose that the city of Philadelphia blow the roof off the Spectrum early and we can be at both ;) Thrilled for the Phils but can't wait for the show!

Yeah I totally know what you mean. I'm going to all 4 PJ shows so I'm going to miss game 1 and game 3 of the World Series. Last year I missed only one half inning of the Phils' entire playoff run. I'm more upset about missing game 1 than game 3 since game 3 will be played right across the parking lot. But I very much would like to be watching game 1 at Yankee Stadium.

  • I'm a yankee fan, and since I can't afford to attend a regular game nevermind a world series game, and it could be game three, this is a non-issue. But I figure it like this, yeah its hard to get to the world series, but the yanks and phillies will be around 100 years after I'm dead, whereas Pearl Jam may not be around in 5 years, (who knows for sure?) so you gotta go to the show!

I'm in the same boat and split the difference by selling my 10/28 Pearl Jam tickets. I can't miss Game 1.

Must say I'd be a lil' bit annoyed if a "Let's Go Phils" chant breaks out during the 31st show. To those who would start such a chant, I say, go next door, because in here, its all about Pearl Jam and the closing of the Spectrum.

But seriously, I appreciate (and am pulling for) the Phils and their post season run, even though I'm not a true Phils fan. But if we're going to have Phils chants, etc, we might as well put the game on one of the friggin big screens in the Spectrum during the show. That's my point.
