Mr. Springsteen played 3hours 20minutes last night......
There you have it...
Give em hell Mr. Vedder.........
pj won't even come close to that. i say at most pj plays at most 2 hours and 45 min. pj has an opening act and bruce doesn't. plus these finally few shows of this bruce tour are rumored to be the last ever with his band.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
If we get to meet in Philly I'll buy you a beer or four...
State College was pretty special if I recall, over three hours long
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of
arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to
slide in sideways, BBQ sandwich in one hand, cold beer in the other,
body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "Woo Hoo what a
ride"!

Bruce doesn't put out the kind of energy Pearl Jam does on stage, so naturally he could play for a longer duration.
You can't have been to a Springsteen show lately ... puts most performers in the shade with the way he works the stage and crowd.
When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
Chasing something in the night.
Well try catching him on this latest leg if you can, because I don't think the E Street Band will tour much after this year and it's an experience everyone should have at least once.
And get some training in beforehand! Believe me, the energy level is incredibly high. Obviously a different show to PJ, but no less tiring/awe inspiring.

quite a different show, but I saw Bruce at the Spectrum last week when he did Darkness on the Edge of Town. I am not a huge Bruce fan, and have little emotional connection to his music, so I was somewhat "ho hum" about the show... he is very energetic and a much better guitar player than I remembered...
that said, other than "hungry heart," "born to run," and "rosalita" there was not a single song that more than 25% of the audience knew and was singing to... I leaned over to my wife and said "this sure isn't a pearl jam concert".
While Bruce may "bring it" there is NO comparison with respect to the dedication, vibe, and collective energy of the crowd...

To quote Dave Grohl, "If Springsteen is the boss, I F'n quit!"
That is a GREAT quote. I fucking love it.

He said it on the Daily Show, a long time ago, I think when Kilborn was still the host.
BTW Led, I graduated from East in 95. You originally from WC?
No I'm originally from Scranton.

Dude, you weren't at the show I was last night or the shows he put on this week. The man is everywhere for 3 plus hours.

Social awareness does not equal political activism!
5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

Absolutely fucking true.
i'm just going by the music..his music doesn't have the same energy as Pearl Jam's IMO.
but no..never saw him live...he was in Boston the same night Ed was doing his solo stint in Boston last summer...so of course i went to see Ed!
