What is your favourite PJ album or album's?

TEN is always going to be the album that changed my life but if i had to pick a favourite PJ album it would have to be vitalogy. Everyone of PJ albums are brilliant.
I can still remember where i was and what i was doing when i would buy a new PJ album. :)

They're all good - hahahahahaha I'm talking like a greatful dead fan.

When I created a greatest hits for myself not one Binural song was included, but I love Binaural. Also, the most songs came from Vs and BackSpacer, but the other albums don't grow old, and I'm in the moment when I listen to them, and love them the best at that time.

Varies, will always have a little corner reserved for Ten as it was the first. But I do love Binaural and Yield.

Sort of a challenge to rank them and then stand by the rankings an hour later. Still...

    1) Yield
    2) Riot Act
    3) Binaural
    4) Ten
    5) Vs
    6) Backspacer
    7) Pearl Jam
    8) No Code
    9) Vitalogy

  • Of course it depends on my mood. But usually...

    Vitalogy
    Yield
    No Code

Vitalogy is always my number one. But the other ones vary from day to day.
  • My first is always...Riot Act, then 10 and Yield!!!
  • My personal fave is Ten. Vs. was a good followup too! Those two albums served as a breaking point on why I became a fan.

I couldn't put the rest in order, because they each have their own uniqueness and personal attachment. The only thing I can say for definite is Vs is my least favourite.

Something like that, it's pretty hard to pin so much quality down to a certain spot. I like to just throw all of it into a big bowl... (my ears), and make a batch of soup called: awesome, fantastic, mind-blowing soul nugget stew. As far as out of studio stuff I can listen to May 3rd 2003 at State College, PA over and over, after all it's the longest PJ show recorded, and I had the honor of being a witness. Eddie ROCKS "Hide Your Love Away". Check it out.

I know what you mean. No Code is always my number 1, but the others change postion all the time. I always feel guilty for having an album as "Least favourite". Riot Act would be there at the moment, BUT I think it is a great album- it's just that I am comparing to other great albums. If I was to compare Riot Act (or whatever was bottom) against other artist's work, most times it would be on top.

I've noticed quite a few people have picked NO CODE as their fav or a least in their top 4 or 5.
What is it about NO CODE that you love so much?
Don't get me wrong i love this album but for me it is probably my least favourite. I not exactly sure why, i think it might have something to do with what i was doing and where i was (e.g i was really depressed) when it was released. So maybe it brings back memories of that time. Ten & Vitalogy are my favs so i think NO CODE was a big change in direction for PJ so it took me awhile to warm up to it.
The lyrics and drumming in NO CODE are brilliant.
I'm just curious to know why it's your fav and anyone else who has it as their fav. Your feedback would be appreciated and it may open my eyes and ears to things i may have missed.

    Cheers
    TJJ :D
