Google is my homepage because I always seem to think of something I need to search for. I haven't used anything but Google in years (other than trying out Bing which is nice but I'm trained to automatically go to Google). I noticed that one of my friends always uses Yahoo for searches and it just seems strange to me.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

Does anyone have the Google thingy that you install where you can be working in another program and then double click the CTRL key and a little google search box pops up on your screen and then it automatically opens a browser for you? I love it.....the less I use my mouse the better!
I pretty much love everything Google. It's been my homepage since about 2001. I've had Gmail since it's inception. And, I have been on Chrome now for a couple weeks and it has quickly become my favorite and default browser, after using Firefox for several years.
Yeah, Yahoo is my homepage, and I've used Yahoo mail for probably 10 years and use Yahoo calender for everything.
I tried the switch to Google, and I like Yahoo better... I'm not anti-Google, but I just prefer Yahoo.

i remember like 10 or 12 years ago when i would search on yahoo, at the top of the results it would say something like Ksearch results by altavista". then one day it started saying "search results by google.com". out of curiosity i wnt to that website and liked the simplicity of it.... and have been there since. i still dont see much of a difference on bing.com. does anyone else?

I've had enough, said enough, felt enough. I'm fine, still in it.
Google is my home page, and I have a massive amount of tabs on it, mostly news tabs, including Pearl Jam News, and I also have some fun stuff like Colbert Report videos and Calvin & Hobbes comics. And of course, the weather. It's convienent as hell, and I love the backgrounds you can choose - I tend go with some kind of outer space theme, because that's where my mind is anyway. I also use gmail, which beats out any other email system I've seen. I just got Chrome, but I'm still using Firefox for now because it seems to work faster.
How many millions of dollars do you think Microsoft is spending on advertising Bing?
Have you EVER seen one commercial for Google? Me neither. Google is more organic and natural if you will in the way it grew and gained the public's trust.
Google really can do no wrong as far as I am concerned. To me they have proven themselves as an incredibly trustworthy company.
It was only Google who put up a fight to the Bush administration when they wanted all US internet search companies to hand over their search records. Yahoo, Ask, and whatever Microsoft was calling their search engine at the time just bent right over for the government. It was only Google to say "ummm, why do you need this?" And "Ummm, no you cannot have all of that." Google rocks!

i've used yahoo since leaving aol like 12 years ago...but a few years back i started using google for web searches...although i haven't done a comparison in quite a while, but when i was switching i would search both yahoo and google and the results were similar but over time google's results were better
i've been using yahoo mail for too long to switch now
I'm sure plenty of people use Bing because they probably never changed their homepage from MSN. And then there are places like my mom's work, which doesn't let employees change their default search engine off Bing.
I'm basically married to Google. Chrome user, Google search, maps, news, videos, and of course Gmail...

my old homepage at home was on MSN, and i STILL used google. i love google. now i have a mac and idk what i want to use as a homepage, nor what i will use as my main browser, hahaha.
at work, IE is our default and thus bing is our default. however, i still at times choose to use google if i think of it. either way tho, i have found good results with both, so no complaints...
what is chrome?
i've seen mention of it earlier, but no idea what it is....

This could be my description as well. I know someone that uses yahoo exclusively and when he can't find something I use google and we find it! So, no, I wouldn't use anything and I like the customized google homepage very much!
