So, what happens in this singular, omnipresent, and finite "real world"?

ok, I've almost got my head wrapped around this logic...
You're just the messenger, reporting what we want you to report...and if we think you report news to fit an agenda, we don't know what's going on in the real world....other than the news we want you to tell us about. So, in other words, we're reporting to ourselves about a fantasy world that we know nothing about? I'm confused.

I kid, I kid.... There is no agenda in mainstream media coverage. Anything misleading, ignored, or falsified can be blamed on the audience, and has nothing to do with corporate ownership/censorship, nor appeasing advertisers.

I do watch Fox, I am a self confessed conservative, but not the type of conservative that is portrayed in the media. I am for smaller government, lower taxes and a government that knows it's roll. Probably a pipe dream that I'll ever see a government like that.

I am Canadian so I also get my news from the CBC and locally from a local station.

so if we have less government then we have more freedom?? what was the responsibility of the government becomes the responsibility of private corporations(who are beholden to no one but their stockholders if theyre floated) that given time may well become homogenous and in all possibility a monopoly .. whats the difference??

    less government=more freedom=flawed premise

good point. and i should clarify mine.

i see no difference between a gov't institution and a corporate.

i'm socialist but i'm also anarchist. no institution should exist on its own. the people can do what the authorities have claimed they are needed to do.

i see what your saying, its a good point. and i'm opposed to corporate authority as much as i'm opposed to gov't.

    END authority.

there will always be authority. whether it be in a socialist, capitalist or even anarchic society. someone will have ultimate sayso because mankind has evolved into a pack animal.. there must be an alpha and that is where the authority lays.

In an ideal world (anarchy), you make your own decisions. YOU are the leader. In this world there is no such thing as the state, usury, tax, landlordism, or even privilege. A true "free market" is actually employed, rather than the current form of economic process called capitalism which pretends to exemplify it, but in reality it denies the free market. This may be too idyllic, as I continue to be confounded by the number of people who need to be led, to be told what to do, to be okay with a life of servitude and wage slavery.
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

Yes. Wouldn't that be what a true democracy is about? Majority rule, not authoritative? Of course, there is no such thing as true democratic rule though. Not large scale.
