Allow me to get my geek on for just a moment.

I have been very vocal in my preference of the 360 over the years and that probably won't change anytime soon. Along the way I have always made it clear that I am not a fanboy as I own and support every system out there, it's just that the 360 does more for me than the PS3 or Wii.

With that being said, I think Uncharted 2 on the PS3 may be the best videogame I have ever played or experienced. It had so many good reviews and hype that I didn't think it could meet my expectations but has ended up far exceeding them.

That's all :D

    Yeah, it looks incredible!
I really want to pick it up but I want to go back and play the first one over again (don't really remember the story-line).

this looks intriguing to me, but i never played the first one so i figure i ought to start there. i'm so bad at video games though... is it a first person shooter kind of game?

You know, I played the first one for maybe 30 minutes and then got rid of it. I'm not sure why but it didn't grab me like this. I know they addressed what few issues people had with the first one to make this a masterpiece. I may not get some of the dialogue referencing the first one, but it doesn't seem to be a big deal. At this point I'm not sure I could go back and play anything less than this. It's literally the closest thing to a movie that plays out in your hands as you are almost always in control.

It's a third-person shooter but a lot of climbing and interaction with your environments. Sort of like the best elements of Gears of War and the best elements of classic Tomb Raider. And you can set the game to be as easy as you want. There's even a "Super Easy" mode or something to where enemies practically kill themselves from what I hear.

And it's the full package. The online co-op and deathmatch gameplay fully fleshes out the complete gaming experience IMO.

You son of a bitch...now I have to spend $60!

Real quick...do you know how long the single player is supposed to take?

I have been watching some online clips of this game and wow!! Talk about a damn pretty game! Some of those scenes look like they are real actors!!

From what I've read on some other boards it's about 10-12 hours depending on difficulty. I am at 33% and have played it for 3 hours and 48 minutes, so that seems about right. But again the online adds quite a bit if you're into that.

I'm telling you, anyone that owns a PS3 needs to get this game ASAP! It's deserving of every ounce of praise and all the 10/10 reviews that are out there!
  • I bought this game a couple of days ago and I just cant put it down!
When I`m at work I cant wait to leave just so I can go home and play this game!
I have a PS3 and a Wii. Usually I am not a hard core gamer.
But Uncharted 2 is the best game I think I have ever played.
    It is that damn good.

Totally agree with everyone's posts. This game is amazing. I finished it in the normal setting and immediately started it on the hardest difficulty. I usually lose interest in game after I beat them, but this one is so much fun! Definitely best game of the year in my opinion, even better than Batman: Arkham Asylum. Highly recommended.

This game is awesome (I told you that already ;)).

Too bad Forza 3 came out today, Uncharted's back to 'on deck' status!!
